Ethics & Training

I have a Bachelors equivalent in Nursing from ‘Statens Sykepleiehøyskole’ in Oslo, Norway and have worked as a nurse on the pediatric ward at the University of Oslo (Rikshospitalet), in ambulatory care, and in an orthopedic rehab center.

My training to become a Lighting Process® Practitioner occurred in London, England from September of 2008 until June, 2010.  The certification process through the Phil Parker Training Institute included training in:

  • Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
  • Life-coaching
  • Ericksonian hypnotherapy
  • Osteopathic principles

I took a total of 14 trips from Los Angeles to London for lectures, clinical practice sessions, clinical observations and testing, in addition to a rigorous home-study curriculum.

To maintain my license as a Lightning Process practitioner I have to participate in continuing professional development (CPD) activities that include documenting independent study, attending yearly updates in London or observing video-recorded lectures and training.  I am also required to videotape and send in for review Lightning Process training sessions I conduct.  I pay a yearly license fee, and also pay a fee to the head office for every client I train.  This process allows for continual refinement of the program and is intended to assure that each client get the same up-to-date and high quality training wherever they take the training.

The Phil Parker Training Institute® strives to maintain the highest ethical standards of conduct by their practitioners.  If you have any concerns about my performance or any other licensed Lightning Process practitioner, please contact the Head Office.  An Ethics Board will review each case, and the practitioner may face a variety of reactions from corrective training to loss of licensure.  Our ultimate responsibility is to you, the client.
